COVID-19 VACCINATION UPDATE
The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are safe and effective. They give you the best protection against COVID-19.
All adults aged 18 or over can now get vaccinated against COVID-19.
We are now only running 2nd dose Pfizer clinics at the The Flowers Health Centre as a practice until 26th August. Please contact the practice if you have not received an invitation to book your 2nd dose of Pfizer and you had your first dose at the Flowers.
However, first doses of all the vaccines and 2nd doses of the Oxford/Astrazeneca are still available across Sheffield. Vaccines are available:
- At other NHS vaccination sites and local pharmacies through the national booking service online here or by calling 119.
- At a drop-in vaccination site (no appointment needed) - details of local drop-ins and more information can be found here.
Demand remains at unprecedented levels and coupled with ongoing staff sickness means we are struggling to provide unrestricted access. We are aware this is causing frustration for patients.
Going forwards askmyGP will be open from 6.00-9.30am Mon-Fri (and from 6pm Sun). Phone calls for routine problems for those who cannot use askmyGP will also be taken until 9.30am. If you have internet access please use askmyGP to submit your request to keep the lines free for those who do not, then all requests will get through faster.
After 9.30am please only call reception if your problem is URGENT and cannot be dealt with elsewhere.
Local chemists and the walk-in centre on Broad Lane remain open for you to access - see more advice here. For common illnesses and minor ailments 'Think Pharmacy First'.
